I cannot believe it has already been four years! It feels like yesterday that my parents were dropping me off at my dorm room, and pretty soon they will be coming down to watch me graduate. I also can't believe that I will be submitting my internship applications in just one short month! I am so thankful for the new DICAS system to be up and running for the February applicants. It makes the entire process much simpler and easy to keep organized. By using the DICAS system, I am able to keep the parts of my application very organized. Luckily, all four of the internships I will be applying to are using the centralized application system, and I will not have to submit any paper applications. The process which my professors and advisors have always described as stressful and hectic has actually run quite smoothly. My name is Stephanie, and I am a senior dietetics student at James Madison University located in Harrisonburg, VA. I am passionate about the field of dietetics and nutrition has been an interest of mine for many years. When I'm not in class, you can find me exercising, hanging out with friends, or just having fun! I am an active volunteer in Harrisonburg, participating in food pantry work, WIC nutrition education and many other projects through my SDA.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">For the past several months I have become more involved and aware of many social media tools. I have been using them to connect and network with dietitians, dietetic students, and many health and wellness experts. After reading many other blogs, I decided it may be fun to create one of my own! With the arrival of the new year I thought this was the perfect time to begin.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Next week begins my final semester as a student at James Madison University. I will be applying for the Dietetic Internship this coming February. I will use my blog to track my journey through my final semester as a dietetic student and my future plans upon graduation!
